Privacy Commitment: Sleepyland has no account system and never asks you to register or provide your name, phone number, or email. We collect only the minimum anonymous information needed to operate the service, and any audio you import or record stays on your device.
1. Introduction
"Sleepyland" (hereinafter "this App") is provided by developer Wayne. This Privacy Policy explains what information this App collects, how it is used, and the rights you have. By using this App, you acknowledge and agree to the data practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
This App has no account system and requires no registration. We identify devices using an anonymous device identifier (Apple's identifierForVendor) and collect the following information:
- Device information: device model, OS version, App version, language, time zone, last active time, and badge status
- Usage statistics: anonymous feature usage data, used to understand which features are popular and to improve the product
- Crash reports: technical information when the App encounters an error (including the device identifier), used to fix issues and improve stability
- Push token: if you allow notifications, we obtain a device token used for push delivery
- Promo code redemption records: if you redeem a promo code, we record the redemption relationship between the code and your device to prevent duplicate redemption
We do not collect: your name, phone number, email address (unless you actively email us), precise location, contacts, or photo library contents. Only when you actively choose a photo or video to import does this App access that specific selected item.
3. Third-Party Services
This App uses the following third-party services, whose data handling is also governed by their own privacy policies:
- Firebase Analytics (Google): anonymous usage analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google): crash and error reporting (including the device identifier)
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): push notification delivery
- Cloud Firestore (Google): storage of device information and promo code redemption records
- Google AdMob: ad display in the free version

4. Advertising and Tracking Permission (ATT)
The free version shows interstitial ads via Google AdMob (about one ad every 30 minutes during playback).
- In accordance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, this App asks for your permission before showing personalized ads
- You may decline tracking; you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized and not based on your activity across other apps
- You can change this permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
- After subscribing to VIP, no ads are shown in the App during the subscription period
5. User Content (Imported Audio and Recordings)
Audio files you import into this App and sounds you record with the recording feature:
- Are stored only locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers
- Cannot be accessed, listened to, or analyzed by us
- Are removed from your device along with the App when you delete it
Separately, the official sound library uses a cloud-download mechanism: sounds you select are downloaded from our cloud and cached on your device for offline playback. This process transfers only the sound files themselves and never involves your personal content.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
- Local data: your sound mixes, download cache, imported audio, and recordings are stored locally on your device — deleting the App removes them all
- Cloud device records: device information and redemption records stored in Firestore are retained for as long as needed to operate the service. You may email sleepyland.feedback@gmail.com to request deletion of the cloud records associated with your device, and we will process the request within a reasonable time
7. Children's Privacy
This App is rated 4+ and its content is suitable for all ages, but it is not a service designed for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Sleep-aid features such as the Baby Zone are intended to be used by parents or caregivers, who play the sounds for infants. If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify you through appropriate means such as an in-app announcement or push notification. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
